Once upon a time,

in a far away land,

a great King created all of life.

From planets to galaxies,

from creeping things to the beasts of the air,

all of creation proclaimed His glory.

He made man in His image,

after His likeness.

But the man chose the way of the enemy,

and the woman chose the path of deceit.

In the King’s love and mercy,

He sent His son:

His only son,

to rescue His bride.

His Church, the damsel in distress,

His Children, the princess in the tower.

The dragon loomed over her every hour,

fire of evil ablaze and alive:

consuming faith and family.

So the Son of God came to the castle,

slaying the dragon with His blood.

He had rescued His bride,

and we shall be betrothed to Him forever and ever:

in righteousness,

judgement,

loving kindness,

mercy,

in faithfulness.

The One who died and was raised again.

The One whose blood bore the price of our curse.

He who took on the sins of the world.

For God so loved the world,

that He gave His one and only son:

so that whoever believes in Him will not perish,

but have eternal life.

For there is no greater love than this.
